Early signs of pregnancy and what to do
How to recognize the earliest signs of pregnancy and the first steps to take before your first visit.

A missed period isn't the only early sign of pregnancy many women notice morning nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, and more frequent urination. These signs vary widely from one woman to another and can appear days before or after the expected period.
The first practical step is a home pregnancy test a few days after a missed period, followed by a confirmation blood test at a lab. Once confirmed, an early follow-up visit is recommended to assess the pregnancy and start regular care. Good nutrition, folic-acid supplementation, and avoiding smoking and alcohol all start from day one.
